How your mandir is made

How long does a mandir take to make?
Most designs ship in 1–7 days; the time for each design is shown on its product page. Ready-stock pieces are dispatched in 1–3 business days and then take 3–7 working days to metro cities and 5–10 working days to tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Custom designs are quoted individually – ask us on WhatsApp.
Does the mandir arrive assembled?
Yes. Pieces arrive over 90% assembled — you only fix small things like handles, knobs or shelves. Larger mandirs are crated and lightly assembled on arrival.
Can I customise the size, wood or finish?
Almost always. Most pieces are built to your wall size and finish. Because made-to-order and personalised pieces can't be cancelled or returned, we confirm every detail with you before we start carving.
Will my mandir look exactly like the photos?
It is hand-carved in natural teak, so slight variation in colour and grain — up to about 10% — is normal and part of its character. No two pieces are identical.
What wood do you use, and is it really solid?
Teakwood: solid teak and teak ply, as listed on each product. Teak carries natural oils that resist water and insects, which matters for a piece that holds lamps and sees daily use.
Can I see the piece before it ships?
Yes. We share photos as it is finished, and you can book a video call to see it in the workshop before we crate it.
Getting it to your door

Where do you deliver?
Across 19,000+ pin codes in India, carefully crated and delivered to your door where serviceable (ground floor unless agreed). Remote locations may take a little longer.
Is shipping charged extra?
We do not add shipping charges on our products in general.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships we share the tracking ID and logistics details over email and WhatsApp. You can also ask us during business hours.
Do you deliver to PO boxes?
We generally cannot deliver to PO boxes because of the size of our pieces. Please give us a physical delivery address.
What if I miss or refuse the delivery?
A package is attempted for delivery three times before it is marked RTO. A refused delivery is treated as rejected, and two-way shipping charges apply as per policy.
Can the billing and delivery address be different?
Yes. You may use a different billing and delivery address on the same order — just tell us both when you confirm.
After it arrives

What does the warranty cover?
Twelve months against manufacturing defects, including labour. It is non-transferable and excludes damage from accidents, improper use or normal wear and tear.
Can I return or cancel my order?
You can cancel before the order ships. Made-to-order and personalised pieces are not eligible for return or refund. Please see our Returns & Refunds page for the full policy.
My piece arrived wrong or damaged — what now?
Send us clear photos on WhatsApp. We will repair, replace, or collect the item and ship you the correct one at no extra cost.
The colour looks slightly different — is that a defect?
No. Our pieces are handmade in natural wood, so small colour or finish variation, up to about 10%, is considered normal and is not eligible for return.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Message us with your order number and photos of the issue. We confirm whether it is a covered defect, usually the same day, then repair, replace or reship at no cost.

How can I pay?
Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI and PayPal. No-cost EMI is available on eligible orders — please tell us in advance, as the payment option can change the final quote.
Is EMI really no-cost?
On eligible orders, yes. Because the payment method affects our costs, tell us you want EMI before we finalise the quote so the price reflects it correctly.
Living with your mandir

How do I care for solid teak?
Dust weekly with a soft dry cloth along the grain, wipe spills immediately, keep it out of all-day direct sun, and apply our recommended wax once or twice a year. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Where should the mandir be placed as per vastu?
The north-east (Ishaan) corner is considered most auspicious; east or north also work well. Avoid bedrooms, walls shared with a bathroom, and placement under a staircase.
What size mandir should I choose?
Measure your free wall width and height, leave 4–6 inches of clearance above for lamps, and aim for the main idol to sit just above seated eye level. Send us the numbers and we will suggest a size.
Can I buy in bulk for a project or resale?
Yes. Our Buy-in-Bulk programme offers wholesale pricing and dedicated service for orders of five or more pieces. Write to info@dzynfurnitures.com with quantities and timeline.
