Jagadish Pooja Mandap

This Jagadish Teak Wood Mandap, which is colored a teak shade, is a spacious floor temple that represents the traditional style in its richest form along with a strong and balanced structure. The upper crown features a multi-layered and stepped design where deep floral carving, and small dome style elements are symmetrically placed across the top. The front edge is adorned with beautifully carved borders and carved hanging elements which, in turn, add to the depth of the overall appearance. The open prayer space is supported by two solid side pillars which also give the pillared area a stable and grounded look. The back panel is wide and smooth which helps direct the focus to the shrine area. The floor is large and a bit elevated which makes it possible to have the setup tidy and orderly. The lower portion of the mandap has wide storage panels that are framed with carved borders and symmetrical motifs that ensure visual balance throughout the width. The base is robust and has continuous carving that stretches from one end to another as the finishing touch. The natural grain patterns that run throughout the surface are very clearly seen and emphasized the quality of teakwood that has been used in the construction of the structure. The teak color is again visible on the crown and base completing the classic and traditional look with this mandap's presence.
