Lepakshi Pooja Mandap

The Lepakshi Teak Wood Mandap presents an equal temple design through its teak color and tranquil architectural elements. The mandap design achieves both stability and permanent presence through its floor rested structure. The top section features a stepped crown that rises neatly and defines the vertical profile. The crown base and front canopy show carved borders which create decorative elements that maintain design balance. The front opening uses clean lines to create symmetrical design through its side support alignment. Side pillars maintain straight lines and equal dimensions which enhances the structural integrity of the complete framework. The side panels remain plain so the carved areas stay highlighted. The back panel inside the shrine area features a smooth design which creates a focal point on daily use and placement. The inner platform provides a wide level space which enables organized equipment distribution. The lower section includes a closed base that keeps the form neat and structured. The bottom skirting design features understated decorative elements that create visual dimension. The surface of all areas displays natural wood grain patterns which demonstrate the superior quality of teakwood. The second mention of teak color completes the composed and traditional character of this mandap.

Gently dust your teak furniture with a soft, dry cloth each week. Wipe it very lightly with a barely-damp cloth when needed and dry immediately. A thin coat of bees-wax or teak-oil polish twice a year will replenish the wood's natural oils. Keep the unit away from standing water, harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight to preserve its colour and prevent warping.
