Nihar Pooja Mandap

This Nihar Teak Wood Mandap in teak color is a compact floor-standing mandap that represents a traditional style with a clear and well-composed form. The mandap is constructed of teakwood and exhibits a silky surface treatment that accentuates the natural grain in each section that is seen. A multi-tiered crown with a central elevated peak characterizes the upper part and gives the mandap a profile inspired by a temple. A carved horizontal band below the crown provides visual depth and distinguishes the top from the shrine area very clearly. The open shrine is resting on turned wood pillars, which are of the same shape and have been polished to give the whole a uniform appearance. The back panel is unadorned and solid, which directs the eye to the carved features and the entire structure. The foundation is wide and solid and gives perfect support for everyday use. The lower part is made with a solid plate and carved detail that is perfectly in line with the upper structure. The entire mandap presents a sophisticated look owing to the smooth and proportionate edges. The teakwood finish in teak color not only provides the mandap with a cozy feeling but also makes it perfect for a prayer room.
