Description
The Shuchita Teak Wood Mandap displays its traditional design through its brown flooring system which creates a state of peaceful balance. The mandap has a stepped crown at the top with neatly layered levels that give a clear temple outline without excessive height. The top beam displays decorative borders that extend straight across the front while creating a smooth connection to the side frames. The front section includes double doors with symmetrical cutwork panels that allow light to pass while keeping the inner space composed and focused. The doors display matching architectural design through their subtle carving which surrounds each door frame. The side pillars are straight and proportioned which keeps the design stable and visually aligned. The back panel inside the shrine area displays a flat and smooth surface which directs all focus to the center of the mandap. The platform provides an extended space which enables people to carry out their daily activities in an organized manner throughout the day. The base area underneath the shrine space contains a storage compartment which remains closed and sits flush to maintain an organized appearance. The lower skirting contains light carved details which provide visual interest without making the design appear heavy. The short sturdy legs of the furniture provide strong support which maintains the furniture's position on the ground. Natural wood grain shows through all surfaces together with the second instance of brown color which creates a rich surface tone that serves to complete the basic devotional style of this mandap.

Care
Gently dust your teak furniture with a soft, dry cloth each week. Wipe it very lightly with a barely-damp cloth when needed and dry immediately. A thin coat of bees-wax or teak-oil polish twice a year will replenish the wood's natural oils. Keep the unit away from standing water, harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight to preserve its colour and prevent warping.
Safe packaging
Rest assured, our premium teakwood products are carefully packed with sturdy, protective packaging for a safe transit. Please check your order at delivery and note any damage on the delivery receipt with photos, so we can resolve it promptly. Your satisfaction and peace of mind are our top priorities.

A 2 to 3 ft wall or table mandir suits most apartment prayer corners. 4 ft and above wants a dedicated wall, so measure the alcove before you choose.
We carve only in seasoned 100% teak. It holds fine carving detail without chipping and stays true across Indian summers and monsoons.
Doors keep dust off the idols and suit kitchens and living rooms. An open sanctum suits a dedicated pooja room where the deities stay visible.
The north-east corner is traditionally preferred, with the deities facing west so you face east while praying.
Drawers hold wicks and daily items; a lower almirah takes the pooja box, spare oil and festival pieces. Most families find one drawer too few.
Dust with a soft dry cloth and re-oil once a year with ordinary teak oil. Keep camphor and burning wicks off the timber itself.
