Nuts/Seeds: Almonds and cashews will give you energy while you fast. Raisins are good too. Some seeds like alsi and chia you can add to your cooking.
Some flours: You can make and eat foods made from buckwheat and Singara.
Sabudana: All households can have this during Shivratri fasting because it is so simple to make. People eat khichdi or vada of sabudana because it is easy on the stomach yet very satisfying.
